Shooting Stars

The Southern “Shooting Stars” category looks to recognise the loyalty and longevity of players and referees in the Opens divisions of touch football at the Super League and State Championships events.

Southern wishes to recognise the number of games played by each individual, but given the varying nature of the events (fluctuating number of teams and games), the decision was made to honour players and referees for the number of years. To be eligible, players are required to have been a part of the Southern Opens program for a complete season, which includes both Super League and State Championships, with a similar requirement for referees to be involved in both major events.

Major milestones to be recognised are 10 years of service, which equate to in excess of 100 games for the club. We thank these loyal and long-standing members of the club, who have contributed a great deal in competing and representing the club.
